How It Started
The pandemic and lockdown in 2020, paint a very different picture through the lenses of both the founders; Dato’ ‘Aliyah Karen and YM Raja Azura Raja Mahayuddin. The duo, both with strong believes and values had led large charitable bodies.
They were much sought after for advice, speaking engagements, raising funds and counselling, which led them to focus on being innovative in development and humanitarian efforts. Badrie Abdullah was behind the scenes. The strong invisible man supporting the visible ladies. Together, they made things happen much to the comfort of many.
Dato’ ’Aliyah and Raja Azura, both had their fair share of working with the Government and corporate entities and their engagement with multiple stakeholders were high. They recognized their uniqueness. They wanted to be the driving force, leading to great undertakings and extraordinary contributions to humankind with a sincere heart to make a difference. 'Aliyah is an experienced leader with 25+ years of expertise in change management, strategic planning, branding, PR, coaching, and fundraising. Sheadvocates for humanitarian work and education, holding board positions and founding organizations in Malaysia and globally. She has served as CEO of afoundation for kidney and heart charities and advises in healthcare. Aliyah is the Founding Chair of Yayasan Health on World (YHOW) and an advisor to A Leapof Faith (ALOF). She has established ABA Resources, ABA Luka Care, and AKRAB Resources.
' Aliyah is pursuing a doctorate in Social Sciences from UUM, with an Honored Ph.D. from the International Royal Academy. She has an MBA in HR Management from Nottingham Trent UK and a degree in Public Relations from IPRM. As a certified coach and trainer (US and Malaysia), she is a member of WIAL. She has received awards like Woman's Icon Malaysia, Inspiring Woman of Malaysia, and World Leader Business person. Aliyah teaches at UNITAR International University, UUM, and UPM.
Azura, also known as "Umi," is an experienced and result-driven leader with over 20 years ofexperience in establishing entities, driving transformation, and executing innovativeapproaches. As the former CEO of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera, she focused onsupporting Bumiputera talent through quality education and training programs, benefiting 25,000 beneficiaries.
Currently, Azura serves as a chairman, board member, advisor, and mentor in various formaland non-formal settings. She is a co-founder of AKRAB Resources, a social entrepreneurshipventure. With certifications as a trainer, speaker, counselor, mentor, and singing motivator, sheinspires leaders and youths through motivational sessions.
Azura has been recognized with the Global HR Excellence Award and the Malaysia Women of Excellence Award. She is an Adjunct Professor at UNITAR International University and actively contributes to university-industry collaborations. Azura's dedication to empowering individuals and making a positive impact on society sets her apart as an inspirational leader in corporate,public sector, and non-profit organizations.
